Australia and UK plot green hydrogen funding call

The Australian and UK governments have linked up, announcing plans for a joint funding call to accelerate green hydrogen projects, which will be launched in October.

The initiative was announced during the Green Hydrogen Roundtable, which was held as part of the 14th Clean Energy Ministerial and 8th Mission Innovation Meeting in India. Through it, funding will be provided for companies from Australia and the UK to collaborate on research, development or demonstration projects on renewable hydrogen.

The Australian government has been keen to work with like-minded countries in a bid to build supply chains, enhance investment and shape global markets for clean energy technologies. This agreement will support those aims.
